Tour Day: 11
Arrival in Nice, enjoyed our orientation walk through "Vieux Nice" and an outdoor market, a delicious Niçoise Salad Sandwich and some beach time!
On tour day 11, we traveled from Avignon on our tour bus! We relaxed, had some good laughs and talked about our favorite memories from the trip! It was a long bus ride with traffic, but our tour group and Steve kept us entertained!

Evening...
This evening, we explored Nice, got some dinner at an Italian restaurant (some kind of ratatouille and alfredo pasta), then got some gelato to enjoy on the beach! After our gelato was gone, we got some sunset photos.
On our stroll back through town, we ran into Dave and Debbie (some friends from our tour group) and we were talking to them when they finally saw their last France bucket list item...a French poodle!
We stood and discussed the glowing men exhibit with our friend Dave for quite a while before heading back to our hotel!

Tour Day: 12
Our last full day...keep scrolling to see our hike along the Mediterranean!

Our Last Hurrah with the Group
For our last night on our tour, we all planned to go eat dinner together at a restaurant! It was a really good time to get to hang out with our good friends before we parted ways! We still are in touch with a few people, but do think about the others quite often! We miss you all! We especially miss Steve (our guide) and Hervé (our bus driver)!
As Rick Steves would say, we just have to "keep on traveling", and who knows, maybe we will get to see these our friends again on another Rick Steves' Europe tour!...A girl can only hope!

Thank you so much to anyone who has bothered to read up to this point. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Rick Steves for inspiring my love of travel, and for facilitating me being able to chase my dream of visiting France! This trip was truly once in a lifetime, and it is something that I will be able to look back on fondly for the rest of my life. It is something that I will love and cherish. It's something I will be able to continue sharing with my nieces and nephews, and hopefully my own children some day! People say that travel changes the way you see the world, and that is certainly something that I came to realize on this trip. In a world that seems so mean and scary, we were able to venture out to see new things, meet new people and just live life. Thank you to our guide Steve Kennedy for helping us have such an enjoyable trip, without you, we never would have figured out the metro lol...and we may have gotten a cheese ball in our bellies from the fondue. Thank you also to Hervé for getting us safely from one place to another and also keeping us hydrated on the hot days! Thank you to our group members for making such an impression on us and being so friendly! Even though it was a "My Way" tour, I really felt like we got to know everybody, and it made the trip, just that much better! Boot and I could not have had a better trip in any other possible scenario, including hotels, transportation, people, food, etc., so for that, we will forever be grateful! Merci mille fois (thanks a million)!
